Due to the current Coronavirus situation we will not be in a position to carry out our planned transition programme for children due to start Primary 1 after the summer break.
We will use this page to provide information for parents and carers to support their child’s transition from Nursery to Primary 1.
We would ask parents and carers of our soon to be Primary 1 pupils to spend time with their child looking over and talking about the information contained on the page.
Please click on the ‘New Entrants Information’ link below to view a powerpoint presentation about our school and the transition to Primary 1.
Meet the Teachers
Our new Primary 1 pupils, due to start with us in August, will be given the opportunity to come to the school on Monday 22nd June. There will be 4 sessions, two in the morning and two in the afternoon. The school office will be in contact with you during the week beginning 8th June to inform you which slot you are being invited to attend.
School Uniform (from August)
In order to fit in with arrangement when pupils return to school in August, our uniform policy will be temporarily adjusted. Taking into account an increase in outdoor learning, pupils are being asked to wear a white polo shirt, a red or grey jumper, sweatshirt or cardigan with black or grey leggings/jogging trousers. Pupils should not bring a change of shoes and will be permitted to wear trainers to school. Pupils should ensure they bring a waterproof jacket with them each day.

Barney the Bargarran Bear
Barney is our school mascot. Barney’s wee brothers spend time in the local feeder nursery schools before the summer and also in Primary 1 after the summer. Barney joins us for our school assemblies and sometimes comes in to the classes.
