Looking forward to St Andrew’s Day on Monday- please see the Blog/ app for details.
Have a lovely weekend and see you next week😊!
This week we have been practising different strategies to help us add and subtract. We have used empty number lines and today we used a number square.
In Health and Well-being, we were thinking about different scenarios, the choices we might make and the consequences of those choices. Some of our choices were quite enlightening!
Today we have turned our hands to sneaker design in our work on Anti-bullying. We could work as a pair or individually to create an eye- catching sneaker which we will use for our display.
We had some amazing news during Assembly this morning. We have been awarded the Cool Class Cup this week🏆! Well done, everyone. 🌟
Anti-bullying week 2020
Here we are with our odd socks to demonstrate how unique we are!
We started our Anti-bullying week by discussing what we thought was meant by bullying and these are our first thoughts.
As you can see, we have some great ideas and we will be building on these thoughts as we learn more about how to be united against bullying.
Children in Need 2020
We learnt that 2020 is the fortieth year of Children in Need.
We enjoyed designing a Pudsey bandana/ eye patch and made Pudsey sandwich biscuits. Here we are enjoying eating them!
Have a lovely weekend and remember that Monday is an Inservice Day, so I will see you on Tuesday morning.😊
For today’s art lesson, we were developing the skill of using a stencil outline. We started off with a poppy shaped template.
Next we cut out the middle which was a bit fiddly!
Then we practised using a sponge so that the paint was textured when we dabbed it into the stencil.
Once we’d got the hang of how to use the stencil, we added our poppies to card.
Finally we added the centres of the poppies with black pen and added chalk strokes to create the grass.
