Spelling warm up today is a little Sumdog assessment of 6 words from yesterday’s list. See the source image

Handwriting

The focus for today is writing smoothly, keeping the writing evenly spaced and paying attention to the letters and joins. As you can see there are rhyming words here which have the same letter patterns as some of your y words in your spelling list.

Please remember to write the date, the “I can…” and traffic light  all your pieces of work once you have finished. You can also write a comment to self assess how you are getting on, too!

Another maths warm up to keep your brain thinking about lots of number and maths skills. Don’t forget, there  are Sumdog and Activelearn opportunities for you to practise whenever you want to

Today our number focus is adding and subtracting 1, 10 and 100 to/from a number. It shows us the importance of place value when we are calculating.

Look at these videos which show the steps.

A number of museums have virtual tours so that you can have a look around, but I found this information about Vikings on the National Museum of Scotland website. Lots of interactive learning!
