We were learning some French Christmas words today. First of all we tried to find our partner by making links between languages.
Here you can see that we linked the word angel from English to un ange which is the word for angel in French.
Then we played lotto to practise using the words and phrases we had been learning. These are the lotto winners from today!
This afternoon we started a winter picture which in in two parts so we will be completing the picture using different skills in the New Year. Today we had fun slapping the tissue paper randomly onto the glue!
Today we were writing a recount about our Nativity performance. We looked at our next steps from our previous recount writing and have tried very hard to up-level our writing.
Tomorrow we have a pantomime in the morning, then on Wednesday afternoon it is our Christmas party. Children can wear their party clothes to school or bring them in a bag to change into after lunch.
The children can contribute to the party by bringing 1 of the following to share with their class: juice, crisps, sweets, bought cakes. Thank you.
We are looking forward to the Nativity performances tomorrow. Everyone has worked very hard and we look forward to performing the Inn-Spectors for you.
Special congratulations to one of our classmates who got a lovely surprise in assembly today. In the Road Safety Calendar competition, she was awarded a Highly Commended certificate for her entry. Well done!
Rehearsals are going well and a big thanks to everyone who has brought in their clothes for the Nativity. Tomorrow it is the Dress Rehearsal, so pupils should bring their jeans/leggings and indoor shoes to school in the morning.
Tomorrow, it is also Christmas jumper day, Christmas lunch and Bring in a Tin! The tin is a donation instead of bringing in £1; so that we can support families who may need a bit more practical help this Christmas. Thank you.
Please could everyone who is not a cast member bring in their blue jeans/ blue leggings/blue dungarees and indoor shoes as soon as possible in a name labelled bag. Thank you.
