 Reading

Please read the whole book to an adult and make sure that you pay attention to the punctuation to help you read with suitable pauses and expression. Ask the adult to make a comment about how well you read in your jotter.

RD – Detective Tilak

DA – I Want a Go

JKR group – you are expected to be reading your own novels/chapter books at home. Please make sure that you read 2 chapters to an adult so that you can show someone how you are practising a range of reading strategies. Ask the adult to make a comment about how well you read in your jotter.

 Number

We have started our block of learning which focuses on multiplication. As a fun starter, try this solve and shade activity to help you revise the times tables you have already practiced. If there is a sum that you are not sure of, then use what you already know to help e.g. 5 x 8 = 40, so if you want to know 6 x 8 then take 40 and add on 1 more lot of 8, so 40 + 8 = 48.
