jeudi le huit mars

Today we conducted an experiment to find out which solids dissolve in cold water. We used gravy granules, coffee granules, cat litter, caster sugar, flour and bicarbonate of soda. We found out that only the caster sugar dissolved fully in the cold water after 2 minutes.

We thought about our experiences in real life and thought that if we stirred the solids or changed the temperature of the water (changing the variables)   then more of the solids might have dissolved.  We wrote an experiment report to show what you need and what to do if you want to carry out the experiment fairly!

We are looking forward to lots of literacy learning tomorrow to celebrate our delayed World Book Day! We are excited to find out how many characters we can name and learn about characters that we are not familiar with.
