We have been “Walking to West Africa”. We are all involved in a walking challenge where each class can make laps of the playground and the results are totalled together.

Please try Active learn over the weekend. Everyone has a card with the login details. It will probably work best on a laptop with Flash player, but please let us know how you get on and if there are any problems. We will probably set homework on this program if it works for everyone, so we need to know who does/doesn’t have access to it.

The water use sheet should be filled in this weekend too. It is part of our special topic, so everyone having their input is important to our results.

As an introduction to our topic, we were practising working together co- operatively, taking turns and making group decisions. We were thinking about what we mean by the word “Community” and were then debating our ideas about wants and needs.

This morning we were practising our number bonds to 10, 20 and later in class using our bonds to add e.g. 57 +23. Please practise at home to develop speed and confidence.

In French we were practising phrases to describe the weather. Today il fait mauvais- what does that mean??
