This afternoon we assembled our Viking weapons and added details to them. Be afraid, be very afraid!
In P.E. we were working in teams to demonstrate our throwing and catching skills. Afterwards the teams discussed what went well and what they could have done to be even more successful.
Today, we were thinking about onomatopoeia. We used our senses to think of the sounds associated with bonfires and fireworks which are imitated by the words.
We used a brilliant site to demonstrate our learning. Here is the site: www.iboard.co.uk/iweb/Shape-Poem-Maker-Fireworks-1539. You may have to sign up to a 30 day free trial to access the site! Have fun over the weekend.
Today we had fun making challah bread which is traditionally eaten at a Jewish Shabbat meal. Look at the different stages in the baking process:
We all enjoyed being involved in the process and tasting the bread together. If you want to have a go at home, there are different recipes- I tried one at the weekend using honey, but the dough was very sticky (the bread tastes delicious though),
We’ve had another busy day in P4.
We started on the next chapter in our reading books. We listened to each other read and completed peer assessments. We will be starting the First Minister’s Reading Challenge soon and will choose books from the class library or from home. You’ll hear all about this later.
We had more fun with grid references, finding and describing positions on a grid. In the afternoon we had a visitor and also visited the book fair.
We’re looking forward to seeing parents on Thursday and showing them the work we have been doing in our jotters and around the walls.
