In literacy, some of us have learning about using the apostrophe for ownership and some of us are consolidating our use of the possessive apostrophe.  We found it easy to add in the apostrophe if the noun was singular but it was a little bit trickier when the noun was plural, especially an irregular plural like children.  We learned a good strategy if you’re not sure about to put the possessive apostrophe.
