Fair trade Fortnigh

Today we launched Fairtrade Fortnight. There is a tuck shop selling Fairtrade products and there is also a homework competition: write a Fairtrade poem to help people understand the meaning of Fairtrade.  Entries to be handed to Mr McMullan by Friday 6th March. All this week we will be learning about Fairtrade and how this links to the Rights of a Child.

NSPCC visit to a Woodlands

Today we attended a special assembly about the importance of Speaking Out  and Staying Safe. Then we had an hours workshop in our class looking at abuse and how those people getting abused can get help.  There are many ways to get help and one of those ways is by calling  Childline Number 0800 1111

Happy Holidays everyone and we will see you all next Friday 14th February.  Don’t forget we’ve got Woodlands Got Talent next Friday  afternoon. 💃🕺🌟🎤🎹🎸🎺🎷🤸🏼‍♂️

Multiplication Tables

Over the next few weeks, we are going to complete a times tables test ever single day.  Today was our first attempt at completing 100 questions in 5 minutes.  We then all identified the tables we need to work on (everyone has their own personal list) and strategies that can help us.  Everyone agreed that they’d like to improve their score.  This means everyone should practice their tables every day for at least 5 minutes.  This could be in the car, bath, in bed, using table songs in You Tube or games.

If you didn’t hand homework in today, please hand it in so I can tick your name on the list.
