Numeracy
I’ve uploaded new activities on everyone’s Active Learn Account. The activities focus on negative numbers.
Literacy
Each child has copied their spelling words into their homework jotter or on a piece of paper if they didn’t bring their jotters to school. Pick at least 6 words from their list and put the word into an interesting sentence, underlining with a ruler the spelling word. Everyone should have at least 6 sentences.
In Literacy this week, we are revising how to punctuate direct speech. Copy these sentences neatly into your jotter, remember put in “ around the first word spoken and ” around the last word spoken. If you need to, highlight the words spoken first.
- I just want to mess about with Stig said Barney.
- All right then. Put your boots on. Said Granny.
- Good morning, Stig. Do you remember me Barney asked Stig
- Granny have you got anything you don’t want asked Barney.
- I mean things like windows and chimneys explained Barney.
