Graffiti Boards

This morning we continued our work on “show not tell.” We were focusing on showing the reader how the character was feeling rather than just telling the reader.  We looked at three different feelings: angry, frightened and sad and used graffiti boards to help us brainstorm examples.

Visit From Mrs Keith

This afternoon we had a visit from Mrs Keith.  She came to help us with learning multiplying.  We discussed what to do when we are stuck with multiplying. We have identified lots of strategies to help us with our strategies.

Literacy

This morning in literacy we were all working very hard.  The red group read another chapter then completed a reading comprehension about their text.  The blue group were using their notes from yesterday to write a summary of a chapter.  The green group read the next chapter, completed a cloze procedure then put in speech marks and punctuation to sentences from their text.
