Laboratory Skills
Laboratory Skills is a Skills for Work course offered at the National 5 level (SCQF level 5).
Lab skills gives students the opportunity to gain the practical skills required to work in a laboratory and the employability skills to be able to move from school into the world of work. There are opportunities to get hands on with lots of practical work, investigate what sort of lab jobs are out there and connect with companies and labs across Scotland and beyond.
Practical Electronics
Practical Electronics is offered at the National 5 level (SCQF level 5) and provides a broad practical introduction to electronics.
The course provides progression from experiences and outcomes in craft, design, engineering and graphics, and in science. It provides a solid foundation for those considering further study or a career in electronics, electrical engineering and related disciplines. Due to the emphasis on practical skills the course also provides a valuable complementary experience for those studying engineering science, physics or other science courses.
