Tunnocks Caramel Wafer Winners

2J took part in the Salter’s Chemistry Festival Challenge which was based on the Science of the Caramel Wafer.

The pupils tried experiments looking at what makes the perfect caramel wafer such as the bubbles in the biscuit, the strength of the biscuit and the thickness.

After the experiments were over 2J presented their experimental reports in any way they chose.  All pupils were awarded caramel wafers donated by Tunnocks & certificates for taking part.

Three pupils in the class were also awarded one of the Margaret Minn’s prizes for their literacy and communication skills.  These pupils were awarded a £25 book voucher between them to spend on a book of their choice.
