These exemplar planners are intended to support practitioners in designing high-quality project-based learning. They are not intended to be followed rigidly; rather, they provide a starting point for planning meaningful, context-rich learning experiences that can be adapted to suit the interests, experiences and needs of learners. Each planner includes key features of effective PBL, including a project challenge, an outcome, a provocation, opportunities for enquiry, curriculum links, assessment and learner voice and choice. Practitioners may choose to use these exemplars as they are, adapt them to fit an existing context, or use them as inspiration when developing their own project.
