On Friday 28th October our local MP, Stuart McDonald, spent time talking to our Primary 7 pupils about his job and the democratic process in Scotland and Britain.  This was arranged as part of the work the children had been doing in relation to democracy.  Our Primary 7 pupils spent the first term of this session researching and running our Pupil Council elections.  The children found the visit from Mr. McDonald interesting as it made what they had been learning about come to life.
