Kildrum Primary School

School Community Links

The school has strong links with the local community.  The children have the opportunity to explore their local community through a variety of different interdisciplinary projects. The children visit the Salvation Army, Kildrum Church, Cumbernauld Parish Church and Sacred Heart Church as part of their study of Christianity or Social Subjects. The community police come into school to talk to the children about various topics such as anti-vandalism and personal safety. We have been glad of the assistance of the rangers from Palacerigg Country Park both in giving talks to the pupils and the support of Cumbernauld Allotments Society in the establishment and maintenance of our school vegetable garden. Every year the school is host to local senior citizens at our Harvest Festival.
