Hi Everyone.

We have been very busy since our last blog.

We are very excited to be moving on to a new topic called ‘The Circus’. We have been chatting about what we already know and what we would like to learn. We want to learn how acrobats can keep their balance? How to juggle and why do fire breathers not burn their mouth? 😃We have a lot of research to do!

We have a Circus shop in our class now and are enjoying the role-play.

In numeracy P1 have been completing addition sums using different strategies; fingers, cubes and  a number line. Keeping the big number in your head and counting on is a tricky one and we will need to keep practicing this.

P2 have finished their work on grouping at the moment and are moving onto sharing. We know what the multiplication sign looks like and how you would write it in a calculation.

In Literacy P1 have finished learning about all the letters in the alphabet and are moving onto blending.

P2 have been working on the ‘oi, oy’ phoneme and have been using elkonin boxes to break  these phoneme words into sounds.
