Primary 2 have had another fabulous week full of learning.
The Auld Museum in Kirkintilloch very kindly provided us with a fantastic selection of toys from throughout the ages for the children to investigate. They were very lucky to handle the toys and use what they have learned throughout their topic to put them to use. We looked at what materials the toys were made of and children spoke about the differences and similarities between old and new toys.
Within maths, children have been investigating measure and building up the vocabulary associated with it. We have been looking at weight, length and capacity and children are beginning to compare and order measurements.
Children have been learning about writing information reports and used their skills and knowledge to create their own information reports on Victorian toys. Their reports were full of fantastic facts and pictures to support their writing. Well done everyone!
Thank you
