We are paleontologists!

Science – We have been finding out how fossils are formed and discovering what it’s like to be a paleontologist. The children used a variety of tools to excavate their own fossil.

Literacy – We have started a new genre of instructional writing. The children are gaining skills in, writing an explanation of what is to be done, using clear steps in chronological order, subheadings and instructional verbs.

Maths – The children are learning how to use a variety of mental models when adding and subtracting 2 and 3 digit numbers. The children are also using a range of numbers beyond 5 digits and carrying out simple calculations involving negative numbers.

HWB – We’ve had great fun learning the steps for some Scottish country dances (it’s great excercise!)
