Primary 4/3 have had another busy week full of fun learning!
We have all looked very closely at our reading books and tried to have a deeper understanding of text through a variety of activities. We also used diacritical marking to help us learn our new spelling words. Miss McDonald said we all did very well in our spell check activity this week.
We have taken all our numeracy strategies learned last week and have built upon them by trying them on trickier sums. We know that if we really focus we can always find a mathematical pattern or strategy which helps us.
This week Primary 3 have been learning all about what makes them special and unique in preparation for their reconciliation. Primary 4 have been helping us with this and we think they are all very special too!
We have also been learning about a balanced diet. We know that we should eat a variety of foods in the correct proportions to be healthy. We worked with a partner to think about what a healthy meal would consist of. We hope you like the pictures included of us working on this.
We have been learning about the different phases of the moon. We learned about New moon, Waxing Crescent, First Quarter, Waxing Gibbous, Full moon, Waning Gibbous, Third Quarter, and finally Waxing Crescent. The moon has phases the wanes, waxes, and even sometimes we can’t even see the moon during its phase. We will all be looking at the sky at night to identify which phase the moon is displaying.
Have a great weekend everyone!
