Happy Feast Day

In science this week we went to the staff room to find out what happens when we make jelly. We discovered that to make jelly the cubes begin as a solid, we then added boiled then cold water and stirred. As we did that the cubes dissolved and became liquid and we could smell the strawberry 🍓 flavour.  After that we put the liquid into the fridge overnight. The next day we discovered that the jelly had returned to a wobbly solid. Finally it was then time for the best bit – tasing it! It was really delicious and lots of children want to make their own jelly at home with their parents.

On Thursday we went to pick apples from the school apple tree as Carla’s papa told us that they were ripe and ready to eat. He was right! They were huge and some were bright red and shiny. Carla took some home so we are looking forward to finding out what her papa does with his apples. We are still deciding what to do with ours.

On Friday we celebrated our feast day at mass led by P7. Father Joe asked us to join in singing happy birthday to the church. It was a happy day.
