What a fabulous start to the year. Primary 6/7 are really enjoying their new topic Harry Potter.  We have read a few of the chapters and are really interested in the character descriptions and finding out about magic.

 

In Maths, we have been revising the 4 operations in preparation for the start of our new topic ‘Decimal Fractions’ on Monday.  We know that this will be a challenging topic but we know that we can do it.

 

In Literacy, we are reading The Demon Headmaster by Gillian Cross for our modelling block.  We are revising the 6 comprehension strategies and we are enjoying the book so far.

 

For Art this week we made a collaborative piece of work, that when put together formed a Harry Potter picture.  It looks amazing!

 

Our gym days at present are a Wednesday and a Thursday.  Our Thursday PE time is at the pitches so we ask that the children bring a PE kit for outdoor activities (jogging bottoms/leggings and a long sleeve top.
