Primary 4/3 have been working hard in Literacy and have been using the 6 reading strategies to help them understand their novels. ‘We enjoy being text detectives and we are always looking for clues to understand text’ – Alexa.
For Numeracy P.4 have been working out addition calculations using formal methods. They can estimate what they think the answer will be and check to see if they have a ‘sensible’ answer. Primary 3 can use and display arrays and write multiplication sentences about them.
We have all become secret agents (shh! Don’t tell anyone!) and have been completing different missions connected to our new topic Titanic.
The school has some new chicks and we went to visit Primary 5 to see them. It was interesting finding out from the older children how the chicks are cared for.
We are very lucky to have sport coaches come take us for some lessons on a Thursday afternoon. We are delighted to go down to the pitches to try out our new skills.
Primary 3 are looking forward to Thursday to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Please keep them in your prayers.
Have a great weekend!
