Maths and Numeracy:  This week in maths we have learned about Volume and Surface Area which we all enjoyed!  It was challenging! We also learned a new method to work out the calculations.

Topic:  We have finished our WWII topic which we all loved so much.  See our air raid shelters below.

 

Now we were learning about the new A9 road and the changes they are making to it, like making it all dual carriage way. We played A9 Bingo, the teacher called out numbers and if we had that number we would cover it with a counter. Each number had a fact about the A9 which the teacher read to us. We had to note down as many facts as we could and the group with the most facts at the end won.

Language and Literacy:  In language we completed a visualiser on Lizzie, a character in our book ‘Far From Home’. In storywriting we also wrote instructions for a game which we could share with our buddy. We also learned how to talk about our family in Italian.

Confirmation: We more about he Gifts and Fruits of the Holy Spirit. We have our books home to do Home Session 2. We need to bring them back to school on Monday 25th February ’19.

Health and Wellbeing:  Gym is always on a Tuesday (indoor) and Thursday (outdoor). Please make sure all children bring appropriate clothing for both, especially waterproof for Thursday.
