MATHS

We have been busy talking about, drawing and making array patterns as part of our new learning on multiplication. We are beginning to use vocabulary associated with multiplication such as groups of, sets of, times and multiply, to mention a few. We are developing our team work and counting skills during our maths lessons too.

PLANNING BOARD PLAY

Last week Mrs Keith came to visit us and chatted about the learning taking place during planning board activities. She was impressed with our ability to discuss our learning using words like ‘apply’, ‘progress’ and ‘review’. Some of us told parents at Friday’s workshop how our planning board play helps us to be become independent learners and how we can apply the skills we are developing in real life situations. Carla talked about using problem solving and creative skills during building activities and Leo talked about the counting and social skills he was developing during his play in our supermarket.

TOPIC

We have now concluded our ‘Food Glorious Food’ topic but the children have assured us that they will continue to try to eat healthily, try new foods and get involved at home during cooking times.

Next week we will find out our new topic! Tune in then to find out more.
