Christmas preparations are under way and children have been working hard creating fantastic crafts for the forthcoming Christmas Fayre on Saturday 1st December. We have been practising our songs for the Christmas Show and children are very excited about their performance.

This week the class have been focussing on subtraction in maths and have been participating in group activities to help develop strategies used to support their learning.  They have been working well in groups and sharing their experiences with each other.

Our focus in literacy has been on the phoneme group oa, ow and o-e and children have identified these sounds in daily reading and writing activities.  Children wrote a fantastic recount of the story Stick Man and were able to write about the events in sequence.

Christmas lunch menus have been sent out today and should be returned by Monday 3rd December.

Thank you

Mrs Anderson
