This week we have started looking at 2D and 3D shape. We realise that shapes are all around us in our everyday environment. Primary 4 have been working on their division skills and we are all noticing the relationship between multiplication and division. Primary 3 have been rounding numbers to the nearest 10.
We learned how to carve a pumpkin to make a Halloween lantern. We then wrote down step by step instructions to describe to others how to make their own lanterns. We enjoyed using instructional language such as first, next, meanwhile etc.
This week we wrote a sloth fact file. We researched our information using a search engine. We used subheadings such as habitat and diet. We also created our own rainforest animal using parts of different animals!
On Thursday night many of us attended the Halloween disco. If you saw us we hope we gave you a fright!!! We also participated in the school toy sale today.
Have a great weekend everyone,
Primary 4/3 and Miss McDonald
