Another wonder week in P7C!

Numeracy:  In Maths this week the one group were focusing on multiplication using splitting and estimating our answer before we do our calculations. The other group were doing some dividing by 100 and 1000 and the place values of digits.

Language:  The red group have been reading chapters 16 to 18 in their novel “Dark Isle”. For work me made a magic satchel and wrote about it. They did work on modal verbs also. Another group have been reading chapters 25 to 27 in their novel “Jammy Dodgers on the Run”. They did work on comprehension questions and main themes. Another group were reading a book called “Vikings” and did some work about longships.

Science: In science we did an experiment about the ocean layers. We wrote about how we made this in our WAC jotter. We discussed what we thought would happen, the hypothesis, how we conducted the experiment, the method and then recorded what actually happened, the results.

Story Writing:  In story writing we wrote a persuasive letter to the First Minister about ocean pollution. We included facts, figures and reasons why we think action must be taken.

We have all photo permission now. Look at our fabulous Star Writers since August:-

Happy holidays everyone!
