This week we have been doing an experiment every day for our potion’s lab linked to our Harry Potter topic.

On Monday, we did an experiment with bicarbonate of soda and vinegar.  The results caused a explosion and the bag to burst.  It was very exciting to watch.

 

On Tuesday, we did an experiment called ‘ the egg and the bottle’.  We had to try to get a hard boiled egg into a glass bottle without it breaking.  We manage to get the egg in however it did break.  We know that the conditions outside weren’t great as it was raining so maybe we will try it again when the weather improves.

 

On Wednesday, we made snake bubbles.  This was lots of fun and a really simple experiment to do.  All you need is a plastic bottle, a micro fibre cloth and an elastic band.

 

On Thursday, we carried out the Diet Coke and mints experiment.  Unfortunately it didn’t give us the eruption we were looking for. Perhaps it was the mints we used.
