Dear Parents/Carers As you may be aware, it is hoped that all pupils in Scotland have access to 2 hours of quality PE each week. We are fortunate in that Auchinloch Primary allocates time for this, for all classes. However not all pupils are able to fully take part due to inappropriate PE kit, especially shoes. Many of the pupils are wearing indoor shoes which are not suitable for running

The Pupil Council have changed tomorrows Dress Down Day to a casual dress down day. No Tartan required
Auchinloch Primary School and Nursery Class are saving Sainsbury’s Active Kids Vouchers. These vouchers are being give out from 25th January. Could we ask that you send them in as you collect as we need to send them away before we finish in June. Thank you. Thursday is World Book Day. Your child will receive a voucher allowing children to get their FREE £1 book or to get £1 off
A great afternoon was had by our parents and grandparents. They were entertained with Scottish poetry, dancing and bagpipes. Primary 4 to 7 demonstrated some dances and then asked parents to join them. The children returned to their classes for juice / Irn Bru and shortbread, while parents were offered tea/coffee and shortbread.
Today in nursery we had a special visitor Mr Gary Maclean, Finlay and Harris’s dad and Masterchefs the Professionals 2016 Winner. Gary spoke to the children about what foods are healthy and allowed the children to taste a variety of fruits. He then prepared a frozen strawberry yoghurt as well as a strawberry and mango one which the children loved. Gary then spoke about Burns day and that we eat
