Class Debate
We held a debate about conservation vs development. There were lots of good points made:
- Development brings in lots of tourists and people to spend money
- Development means things to do, houses and shops. Things that make people’s lives better.
- Developing areas means more pollution, litter and waste to be disposed.
- Development can be done carefully, thinking about how to cause least disruption.
- Many animals are endangered and their habitats need to be looked after.
We had a fantastic afternoon and can quite catagorically say “This House believes that conservation is more important than development”!
Well done to everyone who put lots of effort into research, making posters, presenting arguments and best of all – disagreeing with respect and asking sensible questions.
