Active Literacy-Spelling

Pupils are encouraged to try different ways of learning their spelling words. In Primary 1/2/3, they have been using colourful bubble writing, chalkboards, Play-Doh and writing in sand. Varying the technique can help make the spelling words more memorable.

Ravenscraig Play Festival

Mrs Bowden’s class went to the Ravenscraig Sports Facility last week, to participate in an inter-schools Play Festival, organised by North Lanarkshire Council. There were lots of great activities on offer and pupils thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Animal Masks

Continuing on with the Percy the Park Keeper theme, Mrs Bowden’s class have been making some woodland animal masks. They used a variety of techniques including paint and collage and the end result was fantastic! We hope you agree.
