As we were all off school, enjoying the sunny holiday weekend, our Painted Lady butterflies were busy emerging from their chrysalides. What a wonderful surprise for us on Tuesday morning!

 We have now added some orange segments and sugar solution to their habitat as a temporary food supply.

As soon as the last couple of butterflies emerge, we shall release them into the open air, so keep a look out for them in the local area please.
