Pupils from Mrs Dodds’ class and Mrs Kent’s class have been looking at other aspects of the Games including Clyde, the official Mascot. They all enjoyed watching a short film, narrated by Billy Connolly, which tells the story of how the mascot came to be a thistle. You can watch the film with your children by clicking on this link.
The pupils have also been using the internet to research the Queen’s Baton Relay and looking at the intricate design of the baton itself. They have also been putting their artistic skills to good use by trying to sketch Clyde taking part in a variety of sports.
The Commonwealth Games and it’s participating countries, is proving to be a very interesting IDL theme.
