On Tuesday we had some more visitors to our class to share their careers with us. We had Anne, who is a midwife and Sarah, who spoke to us about the different careers she had had.
Anne shared some of the instruments she uses in her job on a daily basis, we guessed what each piece of equipment was used for and were quite close with a few of our answers. She also told us why she enjoys her job and what qualifications and experience was needed to succeed in her field.
Sarah spoke with us about her different careers she had experienced. She had started out as a horse rider/jockey but due to an accident had to leave that career. Sarah then described how she went into another field, realised it wasn’t for her and moved to another area of work. Sarah helped us realise that sometimes things don’t always go to plan, we might need to have a back up plan or change unexpectedly and also that it is ok to change careers if you are not able/happy.
We are really enjoying these talks.
