Pupils from P 6/7 and Primary 4/6/7A got their hands dirty recently. Well perhaps not exactly dirty but definitely sticky and covered in flour! They were learning how to make flour tortillas in connection with their current IDL topic, The Aztecs.
Following a recipe to measure out the appropriate ingredients, they soon had a ball of dough in the bowl and had to get their hands in to knead it. After a short proving time, they were able to roll out their dough into tortillas and then got to fry them off with the help of Mrs Daye. They all seemed to enjoy the task but of course, the proof of the pudding was in the eating. Apologies if none of the finished tortillas made it home for you to try.
