Primary 1/2/3 recently enjoyed a visit from Ian from ZooLab in connection with their current IDL topic of Mini Beasts.

He brought with him a variety of creatures, (with an ever-increasing number of legs) so that pupils could have the opportunity to examine them up close. As he introduced each one, he revealed some really interesting facts about the creature. For example, did you know that a cockroach will still be alive after a spending a whole year in a freezer or that a tarantula will explode if it is dropped?  Amazing facts!

Pupils were all very adventurous and touched or held the creatures and even Mrs Milligan, was brave enough to allow a millipede to walk across her hand.
