Mrs Bowden’s class and Mrs Ali’s class set off on foot to the Tesco Superstore in Wishaw on Monday, to learn more about where our food comes from. Tesco are currently running an initiative called “Farm to Fork” for schools, to help pupils understand the journey our food takes before it reaches our plates.

Pupils were delighted to have a “behind the scenes” tour of the store and were even allowed to make their own bread rolls in the Bakery! They learned about Fairtrade produce, had a chance to operate the scanner at the check-out and so many more exciting things.
