Earth Hour

After an Assembly led by Miss Law and the Eco-Committee, the whole school observed the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Earth Hour today. All non-essential lights were turned off at 11am, as a symbol of our commitment to the planet.

Dressed in brightly coloured, sparkly or neon clothing, pupils (and adults) enjoyed some fun activities in their classrooms…that did not involve computers, Smart Boards or technology that required an electrical source.

Taking part in Earth Hour makes us think more about the electricity which we take for granted and how it impacts on the wider world, increasing awareness of environmental issues such as climate change.
