Assembly took on a sporting theme and was led by Mrs Daye. We learned some interesting facts about Cricket and then watched a short film about the upcoming Commonwealth Games. Our local Active Sports Co-ordinator, David Kennedy, was on hand to introduce Eilidh Murray to us. Eilidh is a Sports Ambassador from Clyde Valley High School and will be one of the Queen’s Baton Bearers taking part in the Baton Relay, leading up to the Games themselves. It is another exciting year for sport and we should all be inspired to get active and try something new.
Mrs Milligan reminded us that it is Burns Night this weekend and hoped that we had all enjoyed the haggis, neeps and tatties that had been on offer from the school canteen. As usual, we celebrated two of the four Curriculum for Excellence capacities, presenting certificates to our Successful Learners and Responsible Citizens. Well done to all.
