Primary 5/6/7 and Primary 5/6/7 C have been making clay tile self portraits. These were inspired by the Portrait of Anne of Cleves by Hans Holbein.

First of all, we had to roll out a flat rectangle of clay for the base and then we used small pieces of clay to add detail to the face, hair, eyes etc. We used a special scoring tool to make patterns on the clothing. Once dried, we painted them in bright colours. Everyone enjoyed the activity.
