Primary 4/5/6 and Primary 5/6/7/B have been studing Pointillism in Art. This is an interesting technique which was developed by a French artist, Georges Seurat, in the 1880’s. It involves the entire painting being made up of tiny dots which when viewed from a distance, look as if they have joined together to create shades of solid colour. It is a very effective way of colouring but requires a great deal of patience!
