Primary 1/2/3 have been practising using money in the Castlehill Cafe. There are are several roles which the children can choose to play such as customers ordering food, the person taking the order, preparing the food or taking the money and giving change. This gives them the opportunity to count out coins and use addition and subtraction. The cafe is a very popular activity incorporating active maths.
