Primary 4/5/6 took part in a morning workshop on Knights and Castles at the Motherwell Heritage Centre.
They learned about everyone who would have lived in a castle, from the King to the peasant. Later they also had the opportunity to dress up as these characters.
Pupils were given a talk on the differences between Motte and Bailey castles and stone built castles. They were also shown the types of food that would have been eaten at a banquet.
The pupils all thoroughly enjoyed the outing and learned lots of information to use in their current class topic.
