Daily Record

There is an article doing the rounds on social media just now which originates from the Daily Record about the number of exclusions in schools. Coltness is mentioned in this article, it however dates back to 2009, and the data included in it is from 2007/08. Why this has appeared on social media 6 years later I have no idea. S2 Football Results The S2 Football Team continued their undefeated start to the season with an exciting 2-2 draw away to Chryston this week. After conceding an early goal the boys went into half-time 1-0 down but equalised early in the second half with a great goal direct from a free-kick. Cotness also had a goal harshly ruled out for a foul. Coltness S2 boys will continue their campaign this week with a friendly at home to Oban

This year in celebration of Ms McNicol receiving the all clear in her own personal battle against cancer Mr McGilp got his head shaved and raised £700. The money however will not go to MacMillan as part of the “Bravetheshave” campaign but will be split between ‘The Maggie Centre’, Airdrie and ‘My Hair and Me’, New College Lanarkshire Coatbridge Campus, two charities close to Mrs McNicol’s heart and ones that have helped supported her through the course of the last ten months. Basics Food Bank Collection

Pupils and staff have been collecting for the Basics Foodbank located in Wishaw. We were delighted to be able to hand over a significant amount of food to David Shaw, worker at the Food Bank, who with his team of volunteers would organise and distribute to families in need. A sincere thanks is due to anyone who contributed to the charity. If anyone does still wish to contribute, Coltness High School is able to collect and will arrange uplift from the food bank at a later date. Written by A.Mullen
