SCHOLAR currently offers the above online courses aligned to the SQA curriculum at National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher level: Wednesday 14th September 2022 6:00-6:30pm Register (via eventbrite.com) SCHOLAR Information Session for Parents and Carers SCHOLAR provides a range of National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher online courses and support materials for young people in subscribing local authorities across Scotland. The webinar will take place in MS Teams and will provide an overview for parents and carers of: the key features of the courses; how your child can access their account and courses; and how they can make the most of SCHOLAR to support their learning and revision. SQA 2022 Appeals Service
If your young learner’s estimated grade is higher than their certificated grade (and at least one component of the course assessment is marked by SQA), they are eligible to appeal. We urge candidates to speak to their teacher and submit an appeal. They can enter an appeal through learner direct, or they can contact Mrs Anderson before 30th August. No appeals can be processed after this date. We wish all candidates appealing a grade the best of luck. SQA will issue a new certificate if they are successful. Mrs Anderson SQA Coordinator
North Lanarkshire Municipal Bank closing soon – Act Now
You may already be aware that the board of North Lanarkshire Municipal Bank (NLMB) have made the decision to close the bank this year. If you, or any of your friends and family are customers of the North Lanarkshire Municipal Bank (NLMB) you need to act now, shut down your accounts and put alternative banking arrangements in place ahead of the bank closing on 30 September 2022. The bank will help existing customers make arrangements for balance transfers, changing payments and provide information on alternative banking providers in your area. If you have salary deductions or your wages are paid into the NLMB, you should contact the People Helpdesk via email esc-helpdeskteam@northlan.gov.uk with the subject ‘Municipal Bank’ or call 01698 403151.
