Football
The S3 Business Class were busy last week raising money for the purchase of items for Food Bank parcels. A Staff Coffee Morning was held on Wednesday 14th December which raised around £40. On Friday 16th December, the pupils organised a Staff v Pupils Football Match. Pupils paid £1 to come and spectate on a dry but chilly afternoon. The staff team was supplemented by several S6 pupils so it was a strong line up against the pupil team made up of S3 boys. The match started well, with the pupils taking the first goal to go ahead. However, in the second match the Staff team equalised, then scored a further 2 goals to make the final score 3-1 for the staff. The
Bag Packing
On behalf of Basics Food Bank, the S3 Finance class went to Morrisons today – Monday 19th December – to help raise the profile for the charity and some much needed funds. The pupils made an excellent job of bag packing and were very polite and helpful throughout their visit. The Food Bank volunteers were very complimentary towards the pupils who all enjoyed the experience of giving something back to their local community. Well done to them all. Written by Mrs Bennie.
