Barratt Homes on Coltness Road/Rowan Street
Barratt Homes have just started to commence work on the above site and are temporarily using access from Rowan St to enter this. The main access however will be from Coltness Road and they are awaiting approval from North Lanarkshire Council to allow a 4 way traffic signalisation junction. They are refusing entry to delivery trucks to their site before the start of the school day, at lunch time and then again at the end of the school day. They have the safety of members of the public, in particular our school children, at the top of their list of priorities. They apologise for any inconvenience caused so far and they will monitor the situation on a daily basis as the site progresses.

BBC Children in Need choir
On Friday, we had 9 pupils from the school involved in a UK wide BBC Children in Need choir performance made up of several individual choirs from across the county. BBC London cut to the Glasgow choir towards the end of the performance and, for a brief moment, the pupils were shown live on UK TV. However, on Saturday evening there was a specific BBC Scotland programme where the Glasgow choir was given a lot more airtime. I’ve included the iplayer link below. It was a fabulous experience for the pupils and a massive thanks to Shonagh for organising this and working with the pupils. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b06pjldy/bbc-children-in-need-2015-scotlands-best-bits First choir performance at 19 minutes Second choir performance at 1 hour 4 minutes Written by Mr.
