You may already be aware that the board of North Lanarkshire Municipal Bank (NLMB) have made the decision to close the bank this year.
If you, or any of your friends and family are customers of the North Lanarkshire Municipal Bank (NLMB) you need to act now, shut down your accounts and put alternative banking arrangements in place ahead of the bank closing on 30 September 2022.
The bank will help existing customers make arrangements for balance transfers, changing payments and provide information on alternative banking providers in your area.
If you have salary deductions or your wages are paid into the NLMB, you should contact the People Helpdesk via email esc-helpdeskteam@northlan.gov.uk with the subject ‘Municipal Bank’ or call 01698 403151.
Customers should contact the NLMB helpline on 01698 403135 or email NLMBhelpdesk@northtlan.gov.uk before attending a branch to close down their account. The Helpline will be available Monday to Friday between 10am and 3pm.
